In April 2023, the SIMBA project achieved its fourth milestone – Demonstration of sensor enabled novel cell. As part of the activities in WP4 (Electrode and cell assembly), SIMBA partner WMG worked on the development of sensors that can track and record temperatures inside and outside the cell. With the final preparation and submission of D4.5 Demonstrate a sensor enabled 1Ah pouch cell containing a liquid electrolyte WMG has demonstrated successfully the incorporation of the developed sensors into 1Ah SIMBA pouch cells containing a liquid electrolyte without sacrificing the performance of the cells. As such, achieving the SIMBA’s fourth milestone!
