Second Advisory Board Workshop
On Monday the 5th of June 2023, the Second SIMBA Advisory Board Workshop was held at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom
Fifth milestone achieved!
In June 2023, the SIMBA project achieved its fifth milestone – The laboratory cell fabricated from optimized materials meet the performance target.
Fourth milestone achieved!
In April 2023, the SIMBA project achieved its fourth milestone – Demonstration of sensor enabled novel cell.

Third milestone achieved!
In October 2022, the SIMBA project achieved its third milestone – Selection of the electroactive materials.
SIMBA at the 3rd Sodium Battery Symposium
The SIMBA project was well represented at the third scientific symposium on Sodium-ion Batteries (SIBs), held in Berlin 26/27 September 2022.
First Advisory Board Workshop
On July 20th, 2022, the first SIMBA Advisory Board workshop took place. Hosted by TU Darmstadt, the workshop borugh together battery producers and battery end users to discuss the progress of the development of SIMBA materials, cell and recylcing steps.

SIMBA at the Battery Innovation Days & other events
Between 23 and 25 November 2021, the first edition of the Battery Innovations Days was held online. SIMBA was present as one of the expo projects with its own digital/online booth.

The SIMBA project started on the 1st of January 2021, and a lot has happened in the past 8 months.
The partners started to work hard immediately in order to achieve the maximum results, additionally partners were interviewed about their tasks within the SIMBA project.SIMBA Kick-off meeting
On January 14th, 2021 Th SIMBA project Kick-Off Meeting took place in a digital scenery due to the Covid-19 measurement in place throughout Europe.
SIMBA Press release
The SIMBA project “Sodium-Ion and sodium Metal BAtteries for efficient and sustainable next-generation energy storage” under the grant agreement 963542 has started on the 1st of January 2021. The Kick-off meeting took place online and headstarted a highly ambitious project to develop sustainable and safe batteries to store renewable energy.
